All White Cats Deaf

However a lot of white cats with blue eyes are. 80-85 of white cats have non-blue eyes. Due to their genetic make-up a white cat with blue eyes is 3-5 times more likely to be deaf than a cat with different coloured eyes.

40 percent of odd-eyed white cats with one blue eye are deaf. Not all white cats who inherit the W D are deaf. 30-40 of cats with one blue eye are deaf.
